MY BROTHER STEVEN WAS 14 YEARS OLDER THAN ME, BUT THAT MADE NO DIFFERENCE TO ME. HE WOULD ALWAYS
TEASE ME AND GENERALLY GET ME GOING ONE WAY OR THE OTHER!!!
STEVEN WAS THE ELDEST OF 4 CHILDREN. HE WAS ALSO MY MUMS "LITTLE SOLDIER", RIGHT UP TO THE DAY HE
PASSED AWAY AGED JUST 38.
STEVEN MARRIED DEBBIE ON 3RD MARCH 1979, I WAS 10. MYSELF AND MY SISTER DIDNT LIKE THE IDEA THAT HE
WOULD NOT BE COMING HOME TO US ANYMORE, BUT TO HIS OWN HOUSE WITH HIS WIFE. HOW DARE HE!!!
I WOULD STAY WITH STEVEN AND DEBBIE SOME WEEKENDS (HE WASNT GETTING RID OF ME).
THEY WENT ON TO HAVE 3 CHILDREN RUSSELL,ODETTE AND AIMEE. STEVEN FELL POORLY, BUT NOTHING SERIOUS
(OR SO WE ALL THOUGHT) THEN THEIR 4TH CHILD SCOTT COME ALONG IN MARCH 1994.
STEVEN BECAME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE OVER THE NEXT 6/7 MONTHS AND WAS ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL AS HE WAS
HAVING DIFFICULTY BREATHING.
HE STILL KEPT HIS CHIN UP THOUGH AND WOULD HAVE DEBBIE SHAVING HIM. HE WAS GETTING WEAKER AND
WEAKER. I REMEMBER HIM SAYING TO ME AND MY MUM "IM MOVING UP THE WARD, TOWARDS THE NURSES STATION. I
MUST BE IN TROUBLE OR IF NOT THAT, IM GETTING WORSE". AHHH.
MY BROTHER PASSED AWAY A FEW DAYS LATER, RIGHT NEXT TO THE NURSES STATION, ON 18/10/94. HIS CHILDREN
AGED 14, 12, 6 AND A 7 MONTH OLD BABY.
ALL OUR FAMILY WAS IN SUCH SHOCK AS WE REALLY DIDNT THINK HE WAS GOING TO DIE.
ONE OF THE THINGS MY BROTHER PASSED WAY WITH WAS SEVERE FIBROSING ALVELITUS.....LUNG TROUBLE.
I MISS YOU SO MUCH BRO. I LOVE YOU LOTS. I WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU.

my heart goes out , to all stevens family, especiallt his wife and the 4 young children , stay strong(easier said than done i know) your children will help you through the difficult times. so tragic to be taken away , love to you steven and your family. look out for joe for me. joes mum x x x x x x
